About Hunchcheck

Hunchcheck is market research for app and SaaS ideas. You describe your idea, and about 15 minutes later you get a report built from real data: competitors and their prices, search demand, real posts from people who have the problem, people you can contact, and honest advice on what to do next.

Why it exists

Most side projects fail because nobody wants them, not because the code is bad. Checking an idea by hand takes days of searching Google, Reddit and the app stores. Asking a chatbot gives you an opinion, not proof. Hunchcheck does the searching for you and links every claim to where it was found, so you can check it yourself.

How a report is made

• We read your idea and plan the research: the search terms, the communities and the competitors to check.
• We collect data from Reddit, Hacker News, Google search and keyword data, the App Store and Google Play, Trustpilot, ad libraries, LinkedIn, job posts, YouTube, TikTok, competitor websites and ChatGPT.
• AI reads and sorts what we found. Every claim in the report links to its source.
• The score comes from five questions with fixed rules, so the same research always gets the same advice.
